i; oops i brought spoilers anyway

-hard to find the right variety of parts anywhere else. Na shledanou, same time next week.

[Casual unfamiliar words, spoken in a familiar voice as a gaunt and pale man stepped out of Gadgets and Gizmos with a thin smile and small wave over his shoulder. Adjusting a bag hanging off his shoulder as the door closed behind him, Viktor's crutch clicked against the ground as he took a few uneven steps away from the shop-]

[-and then stopped so abruptly he nearly tripped, honey-gold eyes widening in surprise before immediately narrowing in a mixture of confusion and uncertainty. Of course, he would know this person on sight no matter how he might change. Viktor would know him as innately as one knew their own name--the other half of a singular dream to make the world a better place.]

[But oh, something was wrong here--for an instant, Aqua talking about differing time periods flashed through the back of Viktor's mind as sharp eyes darted across his partner's face, the exact shape of his silhouette, the brace on his leg-]

...Jayce?

['Who' was not in question for any length of time in Viktor's mind, but a thousand other things certainly were. Because how could Viktor have even begun to understand the sheer madness that had transpired only a short time ago for one of them, as human as he still was? The violet augmentations of the Hexcore, the arcane-corrupted gold in his hair, opaline wild magic in his eyes, the warped and twisted form of an eight foot tall monster--all of it was gone, or more precisely had yet to exist. The only thing standing in front of him now was Viktor, organic and mortal with a look of deep concern rapidly spreading across his face.]

[He took a step forward in that same familiar asymmetrical tap-taptap, free hand raised just slightly as if he wanted to reach out and was not sure how. Physical touch had never quite been his area of expertise, even though accepting it had become second nature.]

What happened to you? How long has it been?
