Balloons are only commonly used by the Ixal in my own world, though we do have airships similar to those that normally ply the city's skyways. Their use has been greatly restricted, however, at least for passenger routes, due to the threat of Garlean aggression.

This will, however, be my first time travelling by sea. I've occasionally ridden in small boats, but nothing that would be suitable for use in the open ocean.
