"BEHOLD! I got the camera running!.... AGAIN!" His proclamation is followed by polite clapping from some of the members in the group. Those who have lived here a bit will recognize that it is Dr. Doofenshmirtz, one of the Council Members, along with his platonic life partner, a teal platypus wearing a fedora named Perry the Platypus. Around them are several more Council Members, but there is also a distinct notice of... well... EMPTY chairs. He wipes his hands clean of imaginary dust before moving to stand by some suitcases. "Hit it, FG!" he finger guns.
A chuckle emerges from an older and plump woman with white hair. She is in a purple cloak. It is the Fairy Godmother. She inclines her head in greeting before clapping her hands together.
"Well, hello my dears! Oh isn't this exciting! You have all gathered so much kindness and goodwill! We truly cannot thank you enough for all the hard work you've been doing! Now, unfortunately, as many of you know, there are many places across the multiverses where there is far less of it. Several Council Members and I will be going to bring all the kindness, hope, and love you've all been creating here. Now, don't worry, the whole Council won't be going, of course. We're leaving you in perfectly capable hands!"
Those who have memorized at least some of the Council members will note that Aslan, Mokona, Speaker of God, Arceus, and a few others who might be considered the "heavy hitters" are nowhere in sight.
"Now, we'll be back later in the month, don't you fret! While we're gone, Mary Poppins and Merlin will keep everything in tip-top shape! Now, Dr. Doofenshmirtz, Perry, and I really must be off! No, it can't wait! We mustn't be late! Ta-ta dears!"
And with a wave of her magic wand, she, Dr. Doof, his luggage, and Perry are gone in a shower of glitter. There's a moment of silence from the Council before Mary Poppins speaks up.
"Now then, I am sure I shall be seeing many of you later this month," that's all Mary Poppins says before she merely snaps her fingers and the camera shuts off.
And that's... it.
There is no further information, and they aren't opening up the post for any questions. Well, nothing to worry about. The others of Iyashikei assure the newer arrivals that this does happen time to time, especially when there's big turmoil in the multiverses. Besides! What could happen in less than a month that would need the entire Council?
But hey! Don't fret! Spring is here and in full motion! The flowers are blooming, the animals are awakening from hibernation, baby animals are everywhere, and the whole of Iyashikei is brimming with life! The air is a mix of smells of flowers and cool breezes, the whispered smell of morning mist that lingers along the grasses with dewy water droplets that evaporate in the warmth of the afternoon sun. It's not too cold, and not too hot. Standing in the sun feels like warm arms wrapping around you, while standing in the shade feels like a gentle cooling kiss. The cherry blossoms and wisteria are in full bloom, with pathways littered with fallen petals. Tulips and daffodils and so many other flowers, fully awake, have big and fuzzy busy bumblebees and birds visiting.
And, of course, you know the expression: "April Showers Bring May Flowers?" Well, that IS true... but well, in Iyashikei, sometimes there are things called Rainbow Showers.
Throughout the month of April, there will be Rainbow Showers, clearly marked by rainbow colored clouds. Each little droplet is a different color of the rainbow, and if you get caught in the rain without an umbrella? Um, well, you get to enjoy being a walking, talking mood ring. There's NO hiding how you feel. From your hair to your toes, EVERYONE knows your feelings until you're dry. Of course, colors mean different things to different people, so someone being bright red might mean they're angry for one person, but that they're madly in love for another. Someone who turns bright yellow may feel incredibly happy, while another feels uncontrollably scared. So, while you DO become a mood ring, how you feel still isn't immediately known.
And with the Rainbow Showers causing a bit of fun, well, let's just say it puts a lot of the residents into a mischief-making mood. Nothing harmful, of course! But what's new life without a little fun?
Yes, it seems that much of Iyashikei (except the farmers, they have no time for such things) is having a bit of a prank war! If you're offered spearmint gum or a mint, you might suddenly find yourself turning green from your head to your toes for a few hours! A delicious swirlie ice cream might suddenly make your hair sherbet colors! Did you ask for a couple of ice cubes? Well, you're only getting ONE! Ha ha! Do you have a birthday celebration? Well, no matter what you do, those candles are just not getting blown out! And, of course, there are some simple classics like hand buzzers, squirting flowers, appearing-disappearing-reappearing ink, and eerily accurate food that are actually sponges or plastic.
Of course, a certain candy-making Council Member, Mr. Wonka, loves this time of year. He's made "Have a Lark" candy that makes you break out into song every time you want to talk, as well as "Mixed-Up Marshmallows" which cause you to constantly get lost, turning left when you should turn right, well, three lefts make a right! You'll get there... eventually.
Yes, all of Iyashikei is having a bit of fun, after all... when the "parents" are away, "children" are bound to play~
And you are encouraged to get in on the fun yourself! There are plenty of stores where you can buy lighthearted jokes and pranks. The stores DO clearly label the joke foods in the stores for anyone who either can't or doesn't wish to participate. And of course, none of the pranks last more than 24 hours. Oh, there IS one other rule: No matter what, do NOT play pranks on the farmers! They have neither the time nor the patience. You want food in the markets? Then leave them alone!
It's A Jolly Holiday
Gotta Catch Them All!

A Message from the Council (click to open)
All across the Glimmers, a "Message from the Council" will be on the screen. Immediately, it opens regardless of touching the shaking envelope. The message starts with a very thin and scrawny man in a white lab coat—who would be much taller if he didn't slouch—who's setting up the video, the camera screen going back and forth before it is finally completely still, and he steps back. Several other Council members are visible behind him."BEHOLD! While there is a playful spirit going about Iyashikei, spring time (and the Color Festival) have helped spur creativity and inspiration! So all along the parks and city sidewalks are beautiful chalk drawings. One of the Council Members, an affable gentleman named Bert, is helping others draw all over the sidewalks, giving pointers, pulling out chalks from his pockets for whatever color you might need. Don't know what to draw? He's happily helping you with ideas! You can even catch him drawing some beautiful landscapes himself.
There are all levels of drawings, stick figures, optical illusions that look incredibly real, and of course, games of hopscotch and tic-tac-toe, and fun chalk "obstacle" courses are about as well. It's more color being added to the already colorful city! Of course, Bert has a bit of a glimmer in his eye. Whenever Council Member Mary Poppins shows up, the landscape drawings seem to... ripple. If she hears how "nice it would be to visit" said landscape, or anything along those lines... well... You will suddenly find yourself IN said landscape and dressed for the occasion!
Did a beautiful chalk drawing of a beach landscape call your name? Well, now you're dressed in appropriate beach attire with everything you require for a lovely day at the beach! Perhaps something more exciting! Did you see a chalk drawing of a stadium full of people watching a game? Now you're in prime seats, wearing the colors of the team you wanted to cheer for, hoping to win the big game! Maybe you drew home? Well, a sweet visit awaits, although, there is no one from home to greet you. Be it jungles teaming with life or a night at the club, the chalk landscapes allow you to jump in, feet first, to an adventure.
Although, under the watchful eye of Mary Poppins and Bert nothing inappropriate will be allowed to be drawn, this is a place for everyone, after all!
Of course... well, as said earlier, it's April, and whether it be a normal spring time shower or a Rainbow Shower, the chalk drawings will get wet and melt away and you'll be returned back to Iyashikei in your regular clothing as if you were never gone at all, but such is the way of some art: beautiful, but fleeting.
If the chalk art drawings have really inspired you, perhaps you want to visit the Museum of Fine and Modern Art, or MoFMA for short. They even have a little mascot named Mothma in multiple colors and patterns. Mothma is all over the Museum signage, directing guests, and there's even a children's section where Mothma can be met! However, that isn't really the point. At the Museum of Fine and Modern Art is a new installation for two months only: The Memorable Moments Art Show.
As you enter the museum, you will find beautiful installations, classical pieces, statues, modern art sculptures, and even some interactive pop art pieces. It is a GIANT museum and will likely take several days to see EVERYTHING, and even then, the museum is always adding new artwork, just like this new show.
Speaking of the new artwork, as you enter the wings dedicated to "The Memorable Moments," you will see artwork of... your own life!? On display are small moments of joy, peace, or calm, a good moment in your life, even if it was only for a moment. Once you are in front of it, whether alone or with company, the painting immediately starts replaying the memory, whether in watercolor, oil, acrylic, or any type of medium. So long as you stand in front of the paintings, the memory will play on repeat. If you walk away, the memory will become still once more.
Despite being your memories, the security doesn't allow you to touch the paintings, so there's no trying to take them down by force or by magic, and everyone has a painting... some may even have two or three!

Slowly, the Council Members will be returning from whatever tasks they've set themselves to do. One of the first Council Members to return is Arceus... but they are not alone. Not even a little.
All over Iyashikei, Pokémon of every type suddenly appear throughout the land! There is especially an abundance of grass, bug, normal, and fairy types, but almost every Pokémon type can be found. The only Pokémon you won't see are legendary, mythical, or ultra-beast Pokémon. Those from the world where Pokémon are a part of daily life will notice that Dynamax, Gigantamax, z-bands, or any other special power-ups aren't available either!
The Pokémon are sweet and want to help out wherever they can! Whether it's helping the farmers plant seeds, or watering your plants, chomping down on weeds, and getting through the canals or around the bay! The Pokémon that can fly are bobbing and weaving amongst the solar balloons and air farms providing some extra breezes. If you find yourself having a bad dream, well, certain Pokémon are happy to make that disappear! Who knew they were such helpful creatures!
It seems that Arceus's world is in great peril, and until the matter is settled, Arceus brought the Pokémon here to keep them safe. It's only temporary. Arceus doesn't think it will take more than two months at most.
Although Iyashikei isn't really MEANT for so many Pokémon all at once, so when Arceus brought them all over, something... curious has occurred. Some inhabitants of Iyashikei may find themselves suddenly with Pokémon typing themselves. Perhaps you're as cheerful as a Cherrim! You might find yourself being a grass type with grass-type moves! Perhaps you were dead back home before coming to Iyashikei! You might be aghast that you're now a ghost type like Gastly. You even start looking like a Pokémon, you'll be the Bell-ossom of Iyashikei! Mind you, unlike Pokémon who are able to be multiple types, this weird phenomenon affecting the inhabitants leaves them with only one typing.
Arceus has made it clear to the Pokémon to behave and expects the same of the Iyashikei citizens. There's NO catching Pokémon to be going on while the incredible creatures are seeking sanctuary in Iyashikei. However, Pokémon can't really help forming bonds with someone; most of them love to, actually. And... well, Arceus doesn't want to separate a Pokémon who has formed a strong bond. If an inhabitant and a single Pokémon form a strong bond in the two months the Pokémon are here, Arceus will allow that Pokémon to stay in Iyashikei with the being they formed the bond with.
A curious matter has arisen, though! While the Pokémon seem to be more than happy to form close bonds with those in Iyashikei, denizens who gained a Pokémon-typing make the actual Pokémon immediately on edge. They refuse to form close bonds with anyone who has gained a Pokémon-typing themselves, and there's no changing their mind. Well, nothing to be done. At the very least, they don't attack!
By the end of May, the matter back in Arceus's world has been settled, and all the Pokémon will be taken back home

There are several little beeps (or depending on whether you've begun customizing it, maybe a little song instead starts to play) on your Glimmer. A little envelope notification appears and does a little wiggle. Should you open this, a cute little message appears:

Hello hello Iyashikei!
This is the monthly Kindness Curious Question (K.C.Q.)! What is something that makes you laugh?
Answer honestly on the Glimmer, and you'll get your K.C.Q. Digital Sticker! It will immediately go into your K.C.Q. digital sticker album folder on your Glimmer.
What's the point, you might ask? Well, when you open that sticker and press on it, the little sticker will make you think of a joke that makes you laugh, and it can be activated once an hour!
