[ Three had been warned about the cattle. It hadn't been warned about the dog. Thus, it is for a moment at a loss when it sees what looks to be an ambling stampede of bovine forms chasing a white dog towards its position. Does the dog belong to the farmer? Three does not have the most pleasant associations with animals—most of its encounters with fauna have been with various creatures trying to maul and/or eat its clients—but if the dog is the farmer's, then Three has a duty to protect it just as it would any other piece of client property.
Three does not bother broadcasting its intentions as it would for a human under its protection; obviously, an animal would not understand. It simply sprints towards the scene—far faster than an ordinary human would be capable of—and then darts into the dog's path, aiming to grab it and pull it out of the path of the (fortunately slow) stampede behind it, out of harm's way. ]
