[Maria, for her part, was actually given a change of clothes and made to take a warm bath, despite the young girl's gentle protest at first, before the farmer's wife put her foot down and set the house rule: the two girls are not allowed one toe out of said house until they're both right as rain. The poor, portly woman feels guilty they were out there in the cold and snow, chasing after their herd, and one of them is looking extremely worse for wear.

She's actually made them some hearty pork chili, with all natural ingredients raised right there on the farm. Heck, even the tea leaves are cultivated on the farmlands, and the honey used to sweeten it are from their very own bees, which she very proudly boasts from the kitchen.]

I'm fine now...r-really. I just overdid it, and got too cold out there. I, um...I'm really not used to this sort of climate at all. I've never exactly encountered snow before, either. Not like this. And, um... [She bites her lip a little, then takes a long sip of her tea, looking a tiny bit sheepish.] I get sick very easily.
