[It really was just the wording and timing, turning a seemingly nothing statement into the funniest thing Maria's heard all day. Part of it is also perhaps Shadow's always serious tone and expression, too. He's such a straight-shooter that when he says something even remotely silly, or different from the norm, it's a thousand times funnier.

If you like, but from what I remember it's quite a distance away from the main city. There are trains to take people there, but it will still be quite a long trip... [Maria takes out her Glimmer, checking the time on it real quick, then hums to herself.] Perhaps tomorrow? We...should start thinking of finding someplace to stay, actually.
