She believe in her grandfather's research, in Shadow, and getting to be able to go back to Earth healthy. But she understands that others don't share her hopeful disposition, and they're entirely valid for being angry at people seemingly looking down on them.]

Yes, it is very cold, and I will go inside eventually, but...I really wanted to enjoy the outdoors for once. [And y'know...an actual atmosphere.] I've never seen snow before, just in books, and videos. Getting to experience it feels special.
