Mai was a lone wolf when it came to fighting. Sure sometimes Ty Lee had stepped in or even Azula when the three of them were still friends but by and large Mai had always been by herself. She might be good at adapting but that didn't mean she had to do it often.
She sighs out a breath against the cool air, stalking her way around with patient steps. She thought she knew where the other person had went but this person wasn't so easy to draw out. Figured, they seemed to know their way around a fight.
For now that scoop is dangling off of one of her cloak pockets. She didn't much like having to wear a cloak as it did slow her down some but she's not about to go swishing around in this cold without some kind of cover.
"You don't see me out here ducking behind everything though."
Which is simply because she's being brazen and they're snow balls. If these two knives or a fight with s bender of some sort ... well, maybe she'd still be out there pacing around waiting for a hit. She'd probably be doing what Natalia had been thinking - hiding in the treetops and lurking.
