Nope, not the same thing. Creatures of Grimm, or just Grimm, mostly giant monster creatures in all sorts of black-red-white colored animal and random other monster forms, that don't have a soul, and they attack any and all humans and Faunus on sight.

Yeah, there are dozens of all sorts of stories about deities and even more all sorts of fairytales, but most of them aren't real. At least not that we know of, not yet.
