Winter still has Iyashikei firmly in her clutches at least for another month, but at least it's still a gentle winter, and everyone's continued efforts to shovel snow and clear roofs and sidewalks have helped ensure that everyone is getting where they need to go safely. The smaller canals remain frozen, so the penguins are still around to help with ice-skating lessons. That crisp scent of snow in the chilly air that had once been filled with the smells of pine, gingerbread, cranberries, oranges, and cinnamon has begun to shift. Now, the smell of chocolate and sweets starts to mix into the air. The Solstice Express train that led to the Path of Lights, along with the Boreal Express that led to that quaint little village of elves, and one of the Council Members have completely vanished; not so much as a hint of a railroad has been left behind by either of them. If you ask where they went or how, natives tend to just shrug, saying try again next year. That's just how those trains work.
While the Winter Market is still VERY much open for the buying and selling of gifts, you notice a distinct change in... decor. Things are suddenly much more... red and pink. Of course, if you would like to sell something, just sign up and see if someone can help you construct your booth! There are fresh-baked goods, candles, ornaments, toys, clothes, and all sorts of treats to be had! As always, the Winter Market has all sorts of fun activities as well. The activities of the Winter Market have changed as well! While there is still making wishes and paper lanterns for the Double New Years, everyone seems to be getting ready for the Lunar New Years now that the Solar New Years has passed. Now there are paper crafts, making bouquets (both floral and edible types), learning how to make and bake various treats, and the favorite: learning how to make chocolates!
Of course, if you don't wish to make your own chocolates, you are more than welcome to buy the famous chocolates Council Member Mr. Wonka makes. Although, mind you, his chocolates are... unique and each type has a different effect. Of course, Mr. Wonka being who he is, the effects of the chocolates are really only clear to HIM. At the very least, there are clear instructions on the box: DO NOT EAT MORE THAN ONE A DAY. But... well, Wonka chocolates are just sooooooo good. Surely, more than ONE won't hurt... right?
Double Dark Chocolate Hearts:
Oh, where to start with the love in my heart? Everyone is just so near and dear, it's all so clear, I have to let them know and give a mighty cheer! Sea Salt Caramel Chocolate Shells:
Love can be as calm or as roaring as the sea. Sometimes, I just don't know what you mean to me! Vanilla Bean Sprinkle Queen:
A sprinkle a day keeps the sadness away! With so many in one bite, your day will be incredibly bright!
And what happens if you DO end up eating more than one chocolate a day (and make no mistake, these are Wonka chocolates, it will be hard to resist!)? Well, the effects become compounded. What was supposed to only last, at most, 4 hours, will grow with every chocolate you eat. 4 hours will become 16 after two chocolates, three chocolates, and the effects last for 64 hours. But hey, can't say Wonka didn't warn you.
However, that's only the Wonka chocolates. Don't worry, the ones taught, bought, and sold at the Winter Market workshops are completely normal... barring your own abilities.
Of course, if sweet treats are not your style, there is one OTHER hot-ticket item being sold besides chocolates. Mind you, it may reveal much more than the candies do.
Being passed out are giant bouquets of ever-changing rainbow roses. The roses are rather famous and most definitely magical. Whether you want it or not, you will be handed a bouquet and then encouraged to pass it out to whomever you please. You can give as many roses as you want to a person, be it one, two, or the whole bouquet itself!
Once it has been passed from your hand to another person, the rainbow roses change colors to match your feelings for that person. What happens if you decide NOT to pass out the roses? If after 48 hours, a rose has not left your possession, then it shifts colors to how you feel about YOURSELF.
Of course, these roses being magical, they may be any number of combinations of colors.
Now, unlike Halloween, fret not, NOTHING will happen to you or anyone else if you refuse to pass out the roses. However, there is a magical effect on them that makes you disinclined to throw OUT the roses. So one way or another, you're either keeping them or passing them out.

For, at most, four hours, anyone who eats these chocolates will run up and excitedly hug every person they see. Trying to hide away from people only makes you crave going outside and being around people more.
Love can be as calm or as roaring as the sea. Sometimes, I just don't know what you mean to me!
For, at most, four hours, anyone who eats these chocolates will switch from one mood to another. One minute you might be calm and content, the next, you may be upset and insist everything is fine (it is not, in fact, fine), or you may feel particularly prone to cuddling, or you just REALLY need to get that confession off your chest!
A sprinkle a day keeps the sadness away! With so many in one bite, your day will be incredibly bright!
For, at most, four hours, anyone who eats these chocolates will be able to find the silver lining in anything. Nothing can be too bad in the world or your world back home. You are filled with content and happiness, downright gleeful if it were a particularly sprinkle-heavy chocolate.
However, that's only the Wonka chocolates. Don't worry, the ones taught, bought, and sold at the Winter Market workshops are completely normal... barring your own abilities.

Those who use the Re-Quests board will see something a bit unusual on the board... you see, there is only ONE Re-Quest and it's as much a warning as it is a Re-Quest:
LOVE POTION CREATION AND DISTRIBUTION ALERT, TREATMENT, AND CAPTURE:
LOVE POTION CREATION AND DISTRIBUTION ALERT, TREATMENT, AND CAPTURE:
Dear Denizens of Iyashikei,Of course, it is not unheard of for quite a bit of... vigilantism to occur to try and stomp out the Love Potion rings, but the police would much prefer you leave such things up to them. Though if you ask around, it's noted just how lenient the police force is should you bring in a Love Potion culprit on your own. A general "naughty, don't do that again" sort of approach, if you will.
Every year, the Iyashikei Police endeavor to ensure that those who would perpetrate the illegal creation and distribution of Love Potions throughout the year are caught and tried for this crime against consent. For those of you who are new to our fair home, please be aware that this time of year is an especially heightened use of these potions.
As always, we need YOUR help to keep an eye and ear out for those potions!
If you see anyone adding anything to anyone's drinks or food, we encourage you to immediately knock that drink or food from the potential victim's hands and then find the nearest officer to provide a description of the person responsible. If someone tries to sell you a Love Potion, try to remember the details of that person, the location, and the time of day. Do NOT purchase the Love Potion. Those found with a Love Potion in their possession will be questioned and potentially arrested for crimes against consent.
The Iyashikei Police ask that you do NOT engage in any attempts to capture any of the Love Potion purveyors unless it is a matter of your own safety or if a child is in danger.
If you have concerns that a Love Potion may have been used on you, the effects may include:
Severe and sudden obsession with the first sapient being you lay eyes upon
Physical pain when you are not within a 20-foot radius of that being's vicinity
Wanting to give or do anything asked of you by the object of your obsession
Despising anyone your object of obsession doesn't like, or those who insult or slight said object of obsession
Attempt to harm those who may already be in a committed relationship with said object of obsession Severe jealousy of anyone other than yourself near your object of obsession
More severe effects have been noted in those afflicted when an overdose of Love Potion is used, including the willingness to commit minor to severe crimes for the sake of your obsession.
If you or a loved one becomes afflicted with Love Potion effects, take them to the hospital for the antidote and, if possible, bring the contaminated object with you.
Reward: Any reports or assistance in the capture, containment, or protection of inhabitants of Iyashikei will result in a 25 Stardust Reward.
Of course, nothing ever lasts forever; such is the way of life and the universe as a whole. Winter slowly begins to fade and give way to spring. Longtime slumbering flowers start to peek through the snow and ice, and hints of green leaves begin to grow on what was once snow-laden trees. Frozen canals and rivers start to melt and make their way out to the bay and further still to the ocean. Spring is starting on its way, and Iyashikei will prepare for its arrival.
As more and more greenery begins to grow as the springtime sun makes itself known, there are excited whispers for anyone who listens. It's almost time to gather the rainbow-drops.
What are the rainbow-drops you ask? Well, while some legends always talk about a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow, here in Iyashikei, there actually IS something at the end of a rainbow.
At the end of every rainbow, a field of three-leaf clovers will sprout and appear, be it on the top of someone's apartment building, in the middle of a sidewalk, or out in the Farmlands, but wherever the end of the rainbow is, little drops of color are on the three-leaf clovers made by the rainbows. Of course, while they initially look like water, each little drop is actually, a gemstone. Yes, every little drop is actually a small gem: rubies, garnets, amethysts, sapphires, topaz, the whole rainbow is there! And since they came from the rainbow itself, these gemstones are ridiculously lucky.
Jewelry makers, magic users, potion makers, and alchemists, all of them will either be scouring the fields or pay for someone to scour for them. Either way, there are dozens upon dozens of requests about getting so many amethysts, or this many rubies, or a mix of all of them. Or, you may feel inclined to keep them for yourself; they're very pretty, after all. If you're a magic student studying at Yadah University, it's recommended you have some, as every path uses the rainbow stones in some aspect or another.
However, once the Spring Equinox has passed and Iyashikei has fully transitioned into spring, the rainbow-drops will no longer appear, only coming between that magical transition from winter to spring.
Of course, with winter shifting into spring, there is another aspect to Iyashikei that must be acknowledged. New life is coming into the world, Iyashikei is becoming renewed, life that has passed in autumn and winter has given way to the new life of spring.
At night, all along the melted canals, you will be invited to join in on the Parting of the Water Lanterns. You write all of the fears, hardships, heartaches, doubts, and anything else that has been a burden on your mind and heart onto a paper waterlily or a paper lantern, and then in the designated areas, release it so that it can be carried out to the ocean in hopes of unburdening you for the Double New Years, letting the coming months be gentler and kinder to you, a reminder to be gentler and kinder to yourself as well.
As you release your lantern or waterlily, you are invited to say what it is you hope to happen with the coming of new life out loud, so that it leaves your thoughts and is put out into the universe. Don't be shy, no one here will judge what they hear.
At the Parting of the Water Lanterns, it is a more contemplative celebration, many reflecting back on the year and regarding how they might do better, be better, or releasing old grudges and trying anew, welcoming the Spring Equinox and all that may happen with new life in the world.

There are several little beeps, or, depending on whether you've begun customizing it, maybe a little song instead starts to play on your Glimmer. A little envelope notification appears and does a little wiggle. Should you open this, a cute little message appears:

Hello hello Iyashikei!
This is the monthly Kindness Curious Question (K.C.Q.)! What is your favorite way to spend time with someone?
Answer honestly on the Glimmer, and you'll get your K.C.Q. Digital Sticker! It will immediately go into your K.C.Q. digital sticker album folder on your Glimmer.
What's the point, you might ask? Well, when you open that sticker and press on it, the little sticker will help you find at least ten reasons that you are amazing and it can be activated once a day!

Husk | Hazbin Hotel | New Player/New Character
This place is a bit... too much. Fuckin' rainbows and hearts are everywhere, and it isn't helping Husk's mood that everyone seems so happy and excited about everything. A passer-by hands him a chocolate with sprinkles with a wave. Before he can really think about it, he pops it in his mouth. Huh. Not bad. He walks around, hands in his pockets, looking around thoughtfully. Blue skies, grass, air that doesn't smell like a dumpsterfire, no neon signs buzzing in his mind, and most importantly no radio static. Maybe this place isn't that bad after all. He whistles to himself, a peppy tune.
After a while, someone shoves some flowers at him, which he carries around awkwardly, still humming.
Somewhere over the Rainbow
Eventually, Husk can be found collecting some of the lucky gems, keeping them in his pockets. There's one he seems particularly fond of that looks almost like a small pink spider. At night, he's sitting at the edge of a the river with a lantern, staring at it as if he doesn't know where to start, then putting it aside to lie back and stare up at the stars, thoughtfully.
candy man, cw: intense anxiety
Lucifer is just gripping his chest in a way that isn't all that different from how a human might if they had something going on with their heart. His entire body is rigid, eyes widened, fingertips trembling.
Sorry, buddy, it'll probably pass soon enough!

"Good day~!"
With that he continues on, back to enjoying the radiant smell of his flowers, only to freeze in place when he realizes just who he just said hello to.
He nearly inhales the whole damn bouquet. "——H-H-HUSk!?" He stammers before breaking out into a full on coughing fit.

Samwise Gamgee | The Lord of the Rings | Current Player - New Character
Samwise Gamgee stepped out from the great doors of City Hall with a careful, gardener’s tread, as if the stones beneath his feet might bruise if he weren’t gentle enough. The air caught in his chest at once—cold, but clean, the cool breath of winter lingering like frost on turned soil. Snow still clung to shaded corners and rooflines, softening the city into something almost storybook, and Sam found himself blinking at it all with open wonder. It wasn’t the Shire. There were no rolling green hills or familiar hedgerows, but there was a quiet kindness in the light, a sense that this place was waiting rather than watching. He tugged his cloak closer, cheeks pink from the chill, and felt that small, stubborn spark of hope he’d carried across much darker lands begin to glow again.
He lingered on the steps, eyes roaming over streets that hummed with a gentle, lived-in peace, and thought—well, maybe strange roads didn’t always have to end in trouble. There was work to be done here, he reckoned, even if he didn’t yet know what sort: soil to tend, people to help, small corners of the world that might need a steady hand and a bit of patience. Sam drew a deep breath, letting the cold fill his lungs, and smiled to himself. If he’d learned anything at all, it was that even the most unfamiliar ground could grow something good, given time. And with that, he took his first step into Iyashikei, feet padding against cold stone, heart steady and quietly brave.
His Dearest Rosie
Samwise Gamgee found himself lingering in the market longer than he meant to, slowed by the sort of wonder that always caught him unawares. Stalls brimmed with colors and scents he couldn’t rightly name, but it was the roses that stopped him short—great armfuls of them, handed out as casually as apples. They shimmered and shifted like sunlight on water, every petal a different hue, and when a bouquet was pressed into his hands, he nearly dropped it in surprise.
"Begging your pardon, but how'd you get such colors?"
Magic or no, they were still flowers, and Sam studied them with a gardener’s eye—how the colors slid into one another, how the blossoms felt warm, almost alive, against his palms. Blue flickered there when he frowned in thought, curiosity plain on his face, then softened toward pale white as a quiet hope crept in. Strange flowers, surely—but not unkind ones.
He watched others pass them on, laughing or blushing as the roses answered feelings better spoken by color than by words, and Sam’s chest ached with something gentle and familiar. He thought of Mr. Frodo, of his dearest Rosie, of friends carried in memory like seeds saved from an old harvest.
"Well, there's nothing quite as welcoming as a bouquet of fine flowers, I suppose."
The Rainbow's End
A few days on, spring came on with the sort of patience Samwise Gamgee trusted most—the kind you only noticed because things felt gentler all at once. The snow retreated in quiet patches, leaving the ground damp and dark and ready, and Sam found himself crouching more than standing, fingers brushing thawed earth wherever he went. Buds nudged free of their long sleep, canals murmured as ice loosened its grip, and the whole city seemed to sigh and stretch like it had been waiting for this very moment. Iyashikei was waking up, and Sam—who had always believed the best work in the world began in spring—felt right at home in the doing of it.
It was the whispers that caught his ear first. Talk carried on the breeze as surely as birdsong: rainbow-drops, end-of-the-rainbow fields, clovers sprouting where they had no business being. When Sam finally saw it for himself, he stopped dead in his tracks. A rainbow arched down not far off, bright as a painted promise, and at its end the ground shimmered with three-leaf clover dusted in color. He knelt, breath held, and reached out. The drops clinging to the leaves were no dew at all, but tiny gemstones, cool and solid against his skin—amethyst and sapphire, ruby and gold-bright topaz, each one catching the light like a held breath.
"Well, that’s a thing I never thought to see."
Careful as if harvesting seed for next year’s planting, he gathered a few, mindful not to trample the clover beneath his knees.
KCQ: Video - ShireGardener
Well… I reckon my favorite way is doing something simple, side by side. Tending a garden, sharing a meal, walking a bit without much hurry. You don’t have to talk the whole time—sometimes it’s enough just knowing someone’s there with you, seeing the same sky, feeling the same breeze. Those moments… they last. Even when everything else changes.
His Dearest Rosie
"How curious," he mused. "I wonder what each color means."
For they surely must mean something, judging from how some of those around him were reacting to them.

[He isn't giving the roses away, and hates that, once the 48 hours are up.
From then on, they're tucked into his jacket or shoved into a bag, depending on what he's doing. When out and about, it'll be possible to catch a glimpse of the rose bouquet; each petal of every single rose is a blend of turquoise and black, with just a hint of white. Lucifer tries very hard to ignore the damn things, and hopes nobody who knows the meaning of the colors will get nosy.
Unfortunately, those roses get knocked to the ground, at some point; when he's accidentally bumped into by someone in a hurry, he lets out a grumble and snatches the things from the ground. He looks ready to just... set them on fire, or something.
Seriously, fuck this time of the year.]

seto kaiba | yugioh dm | current player/character, ota
When Kaiba registers the local decor shifting to red and pink, he can already feel a headache coming on. Romance. Girls making chocolates, slipping notes into boys' lockers. He'd never bothered with such things
because he was a bit of a jerk to be honest. He'd love to spend the whole month shut in the apartment until the madness passes, but---unfortunately he's heeded the warnings from longer term residents too well. Ignore the holidays at your peril.Unfortunately he has to play ball. The roses in his hand are largely gray, but hints of blue tend to sneak in despite himself. He begins his quest, stopping random passersby with a clearing of his throat.
"Free seasoning? Potpourri ingredients? Or burn it for all I care. Just take it."
He's so good at this.
love potion
Unbelievable. Kaiba's face pales as he reads the bulletin. The very idea of this place's accursed magic being used for this is horrifying. Infuriating. He immediately starts to carry a sealed flask with him, tucked away in his coat, and is very careful about his cooking.
He has a bit of hair-trigger paranoia about this particular subject. So if you're eating out in public and someone passes too close---he might just smack your treat away from you.
"Don't eat that!" ...Sorry. Don't worry, he can probably be shamed into buying you a replacement?
KCQ, un; dueldragon
Another presumptuous question, but. I prefer peace and quiet, away from noise. If I like someone enough to spend time with them, I want us to be free of onlookers and distractions. A game at home or a walk in a quiet park is ideal.
Rainbow roses
So when she's offered roses and the suggestion to burn them? She grins, and reaches for the marks of a small fire spell, drawing them from the Charter and letting them flow through her fingertips- and into the roses, which start to burn and fill the air with the scent of burning greenery.
"A fine suggestion."

Hollyberry Cookie | Cookie Run Kingdom | Current Player, Current Character
[ Hollyberry doesn't quite get this holiday, but it seems to be a joyous and happy one, so who cares? Once she's given the roses, she decides everyone should have one, and shows no hesitation in merrily giving them away. ]
Here you are, my dear! May it grant you happiness for your day.
[ And I do mean EVERYONE. Even if you've only spoken once, even if you're a complete stranger, Hollyberry Cookie is going to every single person she sees and handing out a rose! ]
Ruby Don't Take Your Love to Town
[ Hollyberry normally doesn't care about shiny treasures like these. Wealth has never really been a problem for her, and even without it, she's happy to live on meager means and honest work. But there's something she needs to say to a certain someone... and that certain someone does love their treasure hoards.
That's why you can find her in the clovers searching for a specific gemstone. Ruby red, to be exact. When you see her, she's hemming and hawing at her current finds, not pleased at what she sees. ]
No, no, this won't do at all... Perhaps the next batch will have it. Oh, this is getting tiresome...!

This is a tad difficult - some of my favorite ways can only be enjoyed with fellow adults! Like a good hard drink or a rough brawl! But I do enjoy cooking and baking with the young ones.

Sephiroth | Final Fantasy VII | Current player and character
Sephiroth has been fearing Valentine's season, honestly. And ... well, this isn't as bad as he thought it might be, but he finds himself still worried. These flowers ... they appear to change color when they're given, revealing the giver's real feelings to the recipient. What if the feelings are a disappointment? What if even the giver is surprised by what the true feelings are? How can he chance that, especially when he's so new to trying to be sane and making people happy again?
He spends so long agonizing over this problem that the flowers start to change color to reflect how he sees himself. If anyone visits his apartment, they will see a bouquet of roses mostly in blues and blacks, but also turquoise and lavender. This is probably concerning.
Love Potion #9
Love potions were one of the things he feared most, and he is honestly surprised that they're so frowned upon here considering some of the other adventures like being unwillingly stuck under mistletoe. But he is certainly going to do his part to watch out for them. And he's not above vigilantism if he sees something happening. If anyone looks suspicious to him, he's going to discreetly follow them a while. He knows how to follow without making it obvious he's following.
He will likely not be eating out until Valentine's is over and will instead make his own food and take it with him if needed.
Rainbow Gems
"... Hm."
He's standing on the roof of his apartment building, watching in awed amazement as the end of the rainbow above actually brings colored stones with it. He bends down, fascinated, and picks them up, holding a sapphire to the light.
"Fascinating. I wonder what I should do with these."
He has little interest in money beyond what he needs to survive. He wouldn't mind just keeping some for their beauty. Or all of them.
Kindly Curious Question
[Truthfully, he likes hugging and cuddling a lot, but he is not about to share that with everyone. What he does answer is also honest. Just not the whole truth.]
I enjoy just being with them. It doesn't matter much what is done. Even the most mundane activities, such as doing the dishes, can be a pleasant experience when shared with a loved one.

Valentino | Hazbin Hotel | New Player (Probably not apping! Just here for the TDM Setting!)
Candy baby:
There he was: a runway-to-Hell mothman, towering well over ten feet in stilettos that clicked like a countdown, wings twitching lazily beneath that ridiculous, luxurious fur coat like a predator who knew he had time. Rose-tinted glasses slid down his face as he surveyed the candy samples, mouth curling into something sharp and cruel.
"Ugh... who made these?" Val scoffed, flicking a wrapper aside with two manicured fingers. "No label, no presentation, no mystique—nada. Pathetic." A sniff. Wonka? Please, never heard of this bitch. Más como Wanker. I've seen better effort in alleyway knockoffs." He waved a hand, already spiralling. "This is why standards are dead, you know that? Everyone wants luxury, nobody wants to earn it—"
Then—snap.
His hand shot out, grabbing the nearest unfortunate soul like he owned the concept of free will. A chocolate vanished between his fingers and bam—stuffed straight into their mouth. "Here, baby~" He purred instantly, tone flipping sweet and filthy. "If that pretty mouth isn't busy with... other things..." His head tilted. "Say aaah~ like a star for me, sí?" Fingers lingered at their lips, pressing, claiming, teasing just to see them flinch.
He leaned back with a dramatic huff, wings flaring—and without thinking, popped one of the chocolates into his own mouth.
A beat.
"UGH—FUCK—WHY—" Gagging, absolutly scandalized with himself. "No—no—why would I do that? Me? Eating knockoff trash?" He pointed accusingly at the tray. "I have curves to protect, reputations to ruin, chaos to curate. I do not indulge in mediocrity—" A pause. "...But—" A soft, dangerous chuckle slipped out as he caught someone else's eye. "You." He smirked. "You're kinda cute. Little scared looking. Muy delicioso." A slow grin and a shrug. "Stay still... or don't. Either way, cariño—I love a challenge." Every glance screamed flirtation and threat in equal measure. And Valentino? He wasn't losing control. He wasn't being effected by the chocolates. He'd know, right. ... Right?!
Rainbow Roses:
Valentino has absolutely claimed a throne—some poor, unfortunate chair now buried under pink leopard print and expensive perfume—lounging across it like royalty bored with its own power. One leg draped, wings lazily spread, rose twirling between long fingers like it’s a prop... or a threat. He doesn't even bother looking up at first, just calls out the moment someone wanders too close, voice echoing like an open audition straight from Hell.
"Next. And cariño, por favor—no more ugly people, yeeesh. I am so tired of disappointment today. De verdad." He sighs dramatically, draping an arm over his head. "One more letdown and I start killing people. Qué tragedia." Then—oh. His head snaps up. Smile sharp. Eyes lighting like he's found something worth ruining. "…Ay. Tú. Yeah—you. Ven acá, baby, don't be shy with me." He leans forward, extending the rose, all silk and danger. "Este es para ti."
His grin widens, voice dropping into something slow, deliberate. "Let’s see, corazón... are you worth my time?" A beat. A soft laugh. "Or at least entertaining enough to keep me from murdering someone else tonight, hm?"
Love Potion:
You know what? Karma is a drink best served spiked, shaken, and absolutely weaponised.
Valentino hadn't even been here that long and he was already planning his takeover—eyes clocking who'd look prettiest under his thumb, who'd breathe in his dust a little too deep and smile like it was a choice. An empire takes time, sí, but shortcuts? Val loved shortcuts. And if a few love potions just happened to be floating around, well—why waste a good opportunity for chaos?
So there he was, all fur and perfume and bad intentions, slipping a little something extra into other people's drinks with the ease of a man who does this for fun. What he didn't account for—what he never accounts for—was himself. Because somewhere between the poison and the posing, he'd grabbed the wrong glass. It took a while to hit—this bitch ran on chemicals—but when it did? Ohhh. The world softened, lights bleeding together, heart pounding like it wanted out, fingers trembling despite himself.
"Oh, you have got to be fucking kidding me," He hissed, swaying slightly, laugh breaking sharp and breathless. "¿Quién fue? Who did this?" He scoffed, dragging a hand down his chest. "I mean—I'm not a prude, cariño. If you wanted to fuck me, you could've just asked."
A beat. His grin went crooked, heated. "...Not complaining though. Gracias por el buzz—this shit feels real good, papi." And somewhere in the background, karma laughed—while Valentino, blissfully furious and intoxicated, leaned right into it.
K.C.Q:
[ Text: username; silksmokeboss ]
Q:What is your favourite way to spend time with someone?
Depends... are you hoping for charming, or dangerous? Because I can do both. Simultaneously, papi.
buuuut, My favorite way? Letting someone think they're in control while I decide exactly how long they get to feel that way. 💋
I like attention. Lots of it. And I like testing if they can keep up with me. I let them orbit me. Velvet lights, a drink in their hand, my attention just close enough to ruin their focus. If they behave, they get more. If not—well. Still fun for me
love potion
She does as any normal person would: a smooth switcharoo when he's way too distracted by how hot some guy is. After that, she watches the magic happen, which takes... a weirdly long time? Sheesh. Finally, though, she sees it taking effect. With that, she grins and turns to leave — only someone bumps into her, throwing her balance just enough.
As she grumbles and resists kicking the guy responsible for it, she finds herself within eyesight of the poor bastard. Ugh, just look at him... What a weirdo.
"Yeeeeeah you're gonna be feeling pretty embarrassed later," she says while peering way up at the man, "Next time you try targeting innocent people, I'll turn you into furniture. Literally."
Jinx... don't just threaten to murder a guy in front of people...

Foulques | Final Fantasy XIV | Current Player and Character
[Someone had handed Foulques a bouquet of magic roses in hopes that he'd hand them out. That someone had then been sorely disappointed as Foulques immediately handed the bouquet back with a flat, exasperated look of 'absolutely not'. The letter- if not the spirit- of the roses' magical terms fulfilled, that person had been left standing there, with a bouquet that was a mix of blue, gray, and back. The more times this happened, the greater the percentage of black, and after the third or fourth time, the bouquets had been handed back with more force than strictly necessary.
It wasn't that he had anything in particular against roses. Rather he had something against strangers expecting him to waste his time playing amateur florist (and revealing his feelings in the process) when he had other things to be doing. Those who wanted to give him individual roses would at least find a somewhat warmer reception as he browsed the selection of New Years animal masks on sale.]
Somewhere Under The Rainbow
[Whether it's in the outskirts near his house or in one of the city's many parks, one might spot a tall figure crouched down in a patch of of clover- his normally gray form temporarily painted in colorful hues by the rainbow whose end he'd found- carefully collecting the tiny gems into a pouch of cloth or soft leather. He didn't need them himself- he'd opted for an herbology course at Yadah which didn't require casting magic-, but lots of people were willing to buy them and after the holidays and preparations for the ball, he could use a bit of extra stardust.
Maybe you could lend him a hand? Or are you someone who's looking to buy some of what he's collecting?]
KCQ- un: forest_mist
In conversation, while sharing good food and drink; I prefer to keep things fairly simple and practical, so such is generally far more appealing than the grand events this city seems so fond of.

lace | hollow knight / silksong | new player & character
Lace's first thought when she had seen the owl was "That is the strangest craw I have ever seen."
Well, turns out that was because that wasn't a craw at all. It was not even a bug but rather something called a bird. It was the first time she had ever seen one. Quite frankly she had simply thought her mind lost to the Void when the thing had arrived with its proposal, which was what had prompted her baffled and uncertain agreement.
While Lace had expected nothing of it, and while she may not have agreed had she known it was a legitimate request, neither is she wholly adverse to being here. At the end of the day what did it really matter? Her only regret, and the only thing she was would be looking into was if there was any possible way to have Phantom brought over as well. Whether she was home, here, somewhere else mattered not to her--the only thing she cared about was her sibling.
Until then she intended to be as annoying as she could be to those in charge. If they would not, or could not, then she would begin the process of returning to Pharloom.
For now, however, she stepped outside the City Hall building and came to a complete halt.
Wait a moment. She craned her head back and stared upward.
Was that the sky? Were those stars?
....was this place on the surface???
She could only stare dumbfounded and awestruck at the sight.
Tired of Roses
There were quite the festivities going on, weren't there? Lace was still new to this world and didn't really know anyone, nor understand its customs.
So for now she had fallen back on what had always been a hobby of hers: people watching. Both those native to this land and fellow outsiders were....an enthusiastic bunch, to put it diplomatically. More than once she had had to turn down sale offers of this 'chocolate' for she did not have the capacity to eat or drink. She would have done the same with the flowers but at this point she was nearly worn down which is why she ended up with a bouquet of roses. Just what she was supposed to do with these? Lace had seen more roses than she ever wanted to in her long life and she would have thrown them away if not for an odd sensation telling her otherwise.
Eventually she found her way to some crowded outdoor seating and plopped herself down. "Is this the norm here? Vendor haranguing one for sales?" She said out loud, to no one specifically as she stared at the bouquet.
Somewhere Over the Rainbow
The idea of having money of her own to do whatever she wished with was one Lace had never even imagined. The stipend the council had given her seemed a hefty amount in her mind, particularly given there was a lot a body like hers did not need, and so much less that she needed to account for. Really, with free shelter and no need for food or water the only thing she could really think of using it on was clothing.
Yet who knew? Maybe she would come across something that sparked her interest, and so she had taken up some of the requests to find these precious gems. It allowed her time to explore as well. Thus far she hadn't found any but she was not perturbed by that. After all she had entirely new sights to see, things to experience--she still hadn't quite wrapped her head around the fact that she was above ground.
Up ahead she sees someone else following the path of the rainbow.
"Also searching for these elusive gems?"
Lace was hardly what one would consider a conversationalist, but if they would be talking the same way it would be awkward to not at least acknowledge one another's presence
Tired Of Roses
There speaks an enthusiastic voice, belonging to a Cookie lady that is waddling up to the bench. She has several roses herself, but unlike Lace, seems to be happy to have them.
"I'm not familiar with them myself, but it's making all the inhabitants of this world rather cheerful! So I'm not going to complain!"

Kalim Al-Asim l Twisted Wonderland
Candy Man:
Ah! Hey! You! [...Wow. Rude, Kalim?] Yeah! You! Did you want one? I was told to give these out to people.
[Yup. Just. Casually handing out flowers from the bouquet. He's not reading into it any. Kalim is used to this sort of thing. Being generous and sharing and giving of his possessions, given his family is so wealthy back home. At least, for as initially rather....enthusiastic as Kalim is, he seems genuine and friendly enough.]
Love Potions:
Love potions? Oh, no. I really don't want to get poisoned or anything again.....
[Usually, he has Jamil to taste his food and cook for him, so it isn't an issue. He might have to be more careful, here. As used as he is to the likes of assassination attempts and kidnappings and being betrayed, he has somehow still kept his faith and belief in the best in people. That shows in how he befriends pretty much everyone and invites them all to his dorm to eat and study or hang out together, even if it means more work for Jamil in cooking for so many people. He frowns at the notice, pouting a little in concern.
He's been controlled before and the aftermath was rather a lot to process. He'd rather not have a repeat of something like that again in not being in control of his actions.]
Over the Rainbow:
Oh, wow! They're so pretty!
[....As if Kalim does not already have a store room full of treasures and rubies and such back at the dorms, let alone back at his home. Still. The gems are indeed rather gorgeous and bright! He holds a ruby up, admiring it with a bright smile.]
Look! Come see! There's so many!
[Kalim beckons over whoever might be near, not considering that he should maybe keep them for himself. After all, he has plenty of this sort of treasure back home anyway.
Or he just might be summoning more water, more rain to attempt to make more little rainbows about.]
Lanterns:
Hmmmm. I think I know.
[He writes on his lantern that he wants to be more mindful of his actions affecting others. After what happened back home with Jamil, he wants to try and learn from it all. As much as someone as sheltered and kind of oblivious as he can be, anyway. Kalim isn't exactly making a show of hiding his lantern, if anyone else happens to be nearby and see him writing, or overhear him when he releases it.]
Kindly Curious Question:
un: al-asim
i think it depends? right? on who you're with? but i do like celebrating with my friends and sharing food together for a big, delicious feast! and dancing! and i loved playing mancala with jamil when we were little together.

Festivals? Acts of kindness? Conversing? She has no idea what the Council was thinking when they sent her her invitation. It has proven an....intriguing experience so far but she has largely kept to herself.

Angel Dust | Hazbin Hotel | Current player/character (just recently accepted)
Candy Man
Angel isn't the biggest fan of sweets, which might be an advantage in the particular case of avoiding chocolates with weird effects. He has, however, been given a bunch of roses, with instructions to hand them out to people. Weird, but he can roll with it. He'll be passing them out in whatever theatrically flirtatious way he deems fitting - especially to any man who walks by who he happens to find attractive. Accordingly, most strangers will find roses that came from him turning some mix of grey and red. Of course anyone he knows who happens to get one might end up learning some other things, and anyone he knows who approaches him while he has them will probably get one, because why not, really. He doesn't take the whole color thing too seriously until he sees his one leftover rose turn some unfortunate shades that he will not be showing off, thank you very much. Oops?
Love Potion
When Angel finds that posting about love potions, all he can really do is stare at it in baffled disbelief. There are a lot of things that have been jarring about this place compared to what he's used to, but going from being employed by a proud manufacturer of love potions at least as nasty as the ones mentioned, to seeing a notice about slapping them out of people's hands and calling the cops? That might just take the cake.
"You're kidding me," he mutters to nobody in particular. "That's a crime here?"
Over the Rainbow
Part A: Angel had been doing better at cutting back on his ongoing drug addiction while he was staying at the hotel, but he had never managed to be entirely clean. Compound that with a week or so of a very bad time before he got the invitation to come here, and let's just say he might have fallen back on some bad habits while failing to cope. Of course, escaping to this place that barely seems to have alcohol, much less anything harder, has created some other problems.
The hospital would probably be the reasonable place to go, but being used to Hell, that thought genuinely doesn't occur to him. Instead, a particularly irritable Angel can be found wandering around the Mystic Market in search of some kind of potion that can scratch the itch, or help with withdrawal symptoms, or... something.
Part B: He eventually does find a potion maker who kindly allows him to sample something that should help ease the symptoms, and thankfully it does, though he's warned the effect will only last for so long. The problem then is that he's new here and doesn't have much of the weird currency this place uses built up. Fortunately, that same potion maker is in need of those shiny little crystal drops, and will gladly give Angel whatever he needs in return for spending the time to go gather them. So he'll be out hunting for gems like his life depends on it, because... well, that's dramatic and he knows it, but it does kind of feel that way.
He might still keep a few he particularly likes for himself, even so.
K.C.Q.
Got a suspicion that if I list the ways I like to spend time with people, it's just gonna get censored.
[This clearly doesn't count, being a non-answer and a deflection on top of it. Anyone want to try to get an honest answer out of him so he can get that sticker? It seems like something he could use, actually.]
candy man
It's quite theatrical, really. ]
Why, thank you, my good man! I was starting to think that you didn't have a rose to spare for me.
[ He straightens back up and rather than the hand with the flower moving, the hand holding his staff comes up to rest above his heart, the staff itself defying gravity by clinging to his arm. ]

Over the Rainbow A
Pauline Bonheur | OC | Current Player/Character
[At the beginning of the year, Pauline decided she was going to try extra hard to be helpful and make people happy. Luckily, the Winter Market provides a prime opportunity!
Before everything kicks off, Pauline is constructing a booth. She’s determined to do it herself and, between set building in the theater club back home and having built a booth during Christmas, is actually doing pretty well, decorating it with ribbons and paper flowers. She however, doesn’t notice the glob of glue and colored paper that’s made its way into her ponytail. Or that she’s somehow stapled her skirt to it. Or this thing. Or that thing. ...Someone please help her.
Once her booth is actually constructed, she starts offering baked goods of all sorts. Slices of pear tarte tatin, butter cookies cut into cute shapes, brownies, slices of cake...Even if some are a bit lopsided or a bit browner on the edges than is ideal, she's sure they taste good. She was up late into the night baking and may look more than a little drained, but she’s doing her best to keep up a cheery vibe. It doesn’t even cross her mind that it probably doesn’t look good that she’s eating food she’s gotten from other booths between customers.
She’ll greet anyone that approaches her booth with a smile, radiating a slightly nervous energy.]
Hello! What can I get for you?
[A little later she can be found observing a chocolate making demonstration, hurriedly taking notes as if she'll be tested on it. When she finally gets a chance to make some for herself...well. The results don’t look great. Even using a mold, her chocolates are misshapen and the decorations are clumsy...but she’s sure it tastes okay. She’s even gotten a little experimental. She’ll turn to the nearest person, offering them one of her chocolates.]
Wanna taste test it for me?
[Water Lanterns]
[Despite being a ceremony for healing, somehow writing all these things down makes them real, makes her feel worse.
I think I might be just a convenient person. Maybe I’m not working hard enough. Does anything I do mean anything? Is it worth it for me to be here? I feel bad that I don’t want to go home yet.
She furrows her brow. Even if this is supposed to be a reminder to be kinder to herself, it’s not something she feels like she can do. She stoops down to try and release her lantern before anyone can look at it.]

Poppi | Xenoblade Chronicles 2 | current character
Hello! Please accept!
[Poppi is indiscriminate in her flower-passing, and why shouldn't she be? Who doesn't deserve a nice flower? Everyone should get one!]
[And this being Poppi, no matter who she hands the flower too, it immediately changes color to a vibrant orange-yellow pattern. Which is all the more delightful!]
II. Rainbow Road
A more calculating or perhaps more clever soul who possessed Poppi's resources and abilities could really corner the market on rainbow drops, taking advantage of everything at her disposal to reach ones in stranger or hard-to-reach places before other people could.
Naturally, this never even occurs to her. Instead, the drop-hunt finds her stretching onto her tiptoes (such as she can even claim to have those), one finger pointed at the roof above, for her erstwhile partner's benefit.
"Clover patch up above! Poppi will assist in lifting up if needed!"
III. KQC
Actually Poppi not sure how to answer! Enjoy spending time with people any way. Would like hear what others like best about spending time with other people, so maybe can decide better!
Flower Power
Thanks, what am I supposed to do with it?
[She could stick it in a vase, but it wasn't like it was going to keep it from wilting before long.]
What do the colors mean anyway?

Moxxie | Helluva Boss | new player & character
Moxxie may have sampled more than a few of the Double Dark Chocolate Hearts. He only meant to have one, but it they were just too good, and it's not like Loona's here to call him fat.
Of course he doesn't connect the chocolate to his sudden urge to excitedly catch the nearest body in a hug. It's only after he's wrapped around them that he pauses, face hot as he abruptly uncurls himself.
"...Oh crumbs. I uh- I don't know what came over me-...flower?" he asks, offering a rose as a means of distraction/apology.

It depends on the person, but I am partial to a night out, dinner and show- a musical (naturally).
candy man
The devil blinks a couple of times at the rose, quietly reaching out to take it.

Labubu | The Monsters | Current Player, Current Character
It's safe to say, despite eating various Wonka chocolates, the tiny elf is all of those things already so whether they fully work remains to be seen, but she certainly does stuff her face full of various goodies through the Market. Making the chocolates herself is a little less successful.
However, when Labubu approaches you, it isn't for sweets. It's for flowers! She waddles around in her little winter coat, pants, boots, gloves, and scarf, holding a rather large bouquet of roses, albeit somewhat clumsily. She holds up the flowers and smiles widely.
"Labubu have flower for youuuu, bubu!"
It's safe to say every flower she hands out will generally be the same color, as she very much likes everyone she's met thus far.
[ A Labubu In The Rough - Gemstones ]
Finding jewels and the like is something she and her tribe usually did by sneaking into human houses at night. Finding them out and about where the rainbows end is entirely new to her! But after a couple of sightings of the new phenomenon, she's out in her little raincoat and rain boots, a basket hanging off one tiny arm as she waddles down the streets of Iyashikei, collecting whatever she can find.
Care to join her?
[ A Labubu In Time - K.C.Q. un: nineteeth]

roses
Seto crouches next to her with a faint smile on his face. This is so unlike the Valentines on his home world...he isn't chased by fawning fans anymore, but he has a little sister he genuinely adores.
"I have one for you too."
He extends his hand, and if she touches it, the rose will turn pink and white.

Shirley| Tales of Legendia | New Player/New Character
Candy Man | Flowers
[She knew not where she ended up nor how, but she found herself again among flowers. Some were so similar to the ones in her hair she could not help but stare, and then one thing led to another and...]
Um, would anyone like one? I was told to pass these out but, well, the bouquet is rather heavy. Oh, you over there! Would you like a rose?... or two?
Love Potion Number 9
[One might notice that the girl's eyes have been glued to the bulletin board since she first chanced upon it. She has lingered long enough that she must have read the entire thing by now! Several times perhaps? By the few sighs she keeps letting out it seems the latter is most definitely the case.]
I wonder, if it's possible to fall victims to these things even without a potion? Would a cure work in that case or...
Oh, I'm sorry. Am I in the way? I can move over, of course. Perhaps they'll have more information at the hospital mentioned.
[A hand flies up to her mouth, but no. She said that last part aloud. Oh dear.]
Love potion
[Although Sabriel shudders to think of what the effects of a botched love-spell might be.]
Do you think someone cast a spell on you?
